This central London hotel refurbishment project at 54 Buckingham Gate was a renovation of premium rooms, found in the Almoners Townhouse area of the hotel.
The works consisted of the complete strip out, light well infills, guestroom
refurbishment, lift installation, linen chute installation, infrastructure services, windows replacement, roof plant replacement and structural internal works to create a new floor plan and corridor layout.
In addition to the guestrooms we successfully created the new luxurious Jiva Spa in the hotel's Victorian basement. The scope of the work for the spa included asbestos removal, underground drainage excavation and installation, structural steel and supporting columns installation and the installation of mechanical and electrical services. Spa facilities including a glowing vitality pool which wraps around the hotel’s original brick walls, a steam room clad in Carrara marble, a sauna, two single treatment rooms and one couple’s suite incorporate bespoke walnut joinery and a marble-clad bathing area.
“The whole design team and the client have said what a great job County Contractors have done and the Indian owners were very impressed with the finished rooms.”
